Our Techniques Lab is a great way to sharpen your skills and introduce you to a new technique.

Bring your yarn and needles and have fun learning something new!
Important Note: Must know how to do the knit stitch, purl stitch and bind off.

Each class requires a bit of homework to be done prior to class.
Wrap and Turn Short Rows Lab
Using a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with matching sized needles, cast on 48 stitches. Knit 6 rows in garter stitch. Starting with a knit row, knit the next 8 rows in stockinette stich, working the first 4 and last 4 stitches of every row in knit stitch. Bring 12 locking stitch markers (6 of each of 2 colors).
German Short Rows Lab
Using a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with matching sized needles, cast on 48 stitches. Knit 6 rows in garter stitch. Cast On Lab - Long Tail and German Twisted
Bring a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with matching sized needles.
Cast On Lab - Knit CO and Cable CO
Bring a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with matching sized needles.
In the Round Knitting with DPNs
Bring a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with matching sized DPNs.
In the Round Knitting with Magic Loop
Bring a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with matching sized circular needles 40in long with flexible cord
In the Round Knitting with Two Circulars
Bring a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with one matching sized circular needle 16in length and one matching sized circular in 32in length
In the Round Knitting with One Circular
Bring a light or medium colored worsted weight or heavier yarn with one matching sized circular needle 16in long
Mattress Stitch Seaming / Horizontal & Vertical
Three approximately 5" wide x 9" long swatches made in stockinette stitch
Also bring a darning needle and 2-3 yards of contrasting color yarn
