Irene Schlesinger is an emerging San Francisco Bay Area artist. She was taught how to stitch by her grandmother as soon as she could hold a needle. She attended art classes at CCAC, San Francisco State University, and Stanford University.
Inspired by Folk, Surreal, Expressionist, and Outsider artists, vibrant colors, patterns, and textures are expressed in Irene’s embroidered canvases and mixed medium panels. Irene celebrates the connections between color, textures & mediums. Irene is the author of "Artful Embroidery on Canvas". Her studio is located in Novato, CA.
