Kids Summer Craft Classes
Do your kids want to learn a craft during summer break?
We're excited to be offering Craft Classes just for kids!
We offer a variety of classes that your kids will enjoy. The class length keeps the kids focused and the number of sessions is perfect for kids to learn a technique and see a small project through completion.
Minimum age: 6 yearsMinimum of three students.
Kids Knitting (5 -1.5 hour sessions)
Your child will learn the basics of knitting (cast-on, knit, purl and bind off). They will practice by making squares and rectangles.
Materials (not included): US 11 knitting needles, 1 ball of chunky weight yarn, point protectors
June 10 - June 14, 10:30 to noon
July 22 - July 26, 10:30 to noon
Your child will learn the basics of crochet. They will practice by making squares and rectangles.
Materials (not included): Size G or H crochet hook, 1 ball of worsted weight yarn
July 15 - July 19, 10:30 to noon
July 29 - Aug 2, 10:30 to noon
Mini-Weaving (5 - 1.5 hour sessions)
Your child will learn to weave using a mini-loom.
Materials (not included): Clover 3176 Mini Weaving Loom Single, yarn
July 8 - July 12, 10:30 to noon
August 12 - August 16, 2:30 to 4pm
Circular Loom Knitting 3 -1.5 hour sessions
Your child will learn to make hats using a circular loom.
Materials (not included): Boye Circular Loom, yarn
June 17, June 19, June 21, 10:30 to noon
Pom Pom Animals (5 - 1.5 hour sessions)
Your child will learn to make adorable pom pom animals.
Materials (not included): Clover 3124 Pom Pom Maker, yarn
June 24 - June 28, 10:30 to noon
August 5 - August 9, 10:30 to noon
Cords using Wonder Knitter (3 - 1.5 hour sessions)
Your child will learn to make colorful cords that can be used as belts, friendship bracelets and more!
Materials (not included): Clover 3101 Wonder Knitter, yarn

Kids Intermediate Knitting
Does your child already know how to knit? We are excited to offer project-based intermediate classes just for kids! Your child will get help reading/interpreting the patterns and learn new techniques to make an adorable stuffed toy.
Bramble Goat and Chestnut (5 - 1.5 hour sessions)
Your child will make Bramble the Goat using a slip stitch pattern to give a textured body, and Chestnut the Cow with sweet stripes!
Techniques: Cast on, bind off, knit, purl, increases, decreases, sew seams
Materials (not included): Bramble the Goat and Chestnut pattern, worsted weight yarn in two colors (will also be used as stuffing), size US 6 needles
Mondays June 10, 17, 24, July 1 and 8, 1 to 2:30pm
Stuffy Owl (3 - 1.5 hour sessions)
Your child will make Stuffy Owl. It's knitted in one piece flat.
Techniques: Cast on, bind off, knit, purl, increases, decreases, sew seams
Materials (not included): Stuffy the Owl pattern, worsted weight yarn in two colors (will also be used as stuffing), size US 7 needles
