A New Local Yarn: Denali
We're excited to be carrying a new yarn that is sourced locally - Imperial Yarn Denali.
Imperial Yarn produces yarns that are made with American grown fiber and are manufactured in the USA . They partnered with Fibershed in 2017 to produce Climate Beneficial Certified Wool that comes from sheep that are grazing on landscapes where carbon-capturing practices are in place to help restore the ecosystem and is milled without harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, leaving it comfortable, soft and pure.
Denali is a blend of American Grown Alpaca and Carbon Beneficial Certified Wool from Emigh Ranch located in the Rio Vista and Dixon area about an hour east of San Francisco.
Emigh Ranch is run by the Emigh family, fourth and fifth generation sheep and cattle ranchers. Martin's great-grandfather settled in the Rio Vista area in the mid-1800s and quickly branched out to the Dixon area.
