Torv by Antonia Shankland Shawl is worked short end to short end with gradually lengthening blocks of seed stitch framed by stockinette stitch columns and purled divider rows. At the beginning of the shawl, each block of seed stitch is four rows tall. Two rows are added each time through the chart, so that by the end of the shawl each block of seed stitch is thirty-four rows tall.
