Deborah Borne, MSW, MD (Serving with Two Hands) oversees health policy for people experiencing homelessness at the SF Department of Public Health. In addition to being a physician, she is also trained as an herbalist and energy medicine practitioner and uses these principles in her practice. She's also a self-proclaimed 'maniacal knitter'! Welcome to the world of Tarot! This four-class beginner series introduces Tarot as a tool for self-reflection, intuition, and personal growth. Each class builds on the last, helping you develop both knowledge of the cards and confidence in your own intuitive voice.
Class 1: Tarot 101

Learn the overall structure and language of Tarot, including the Major and Minor Arcana, four suits, numbers, and basic symbolism. Begin developing a personal relationship with your deck.
** If you previously attended the Intro to the Tarot class, there is an option to continue with only with Classes 2, 3 and 4.
Class 2: Minor Arcana

Explore the 56 cards that reflect everyday experiences, emotions, relationships, choices, and actions. Learn a deeper understanding of the four suits, elements, numbers, and Court Cards.
Class 3: Major Arcana

Explore the 22 archetypal cards and the Fool’s Journey through major life transitions, lessons, and transformation. Discover how these cards can illuminate your own life journey.
Class 4: How to Read Tarot
Sunday Nov 15 / 11:30am to 1pm
Learn how to bring the cards together into a meaningful reading using elemental wisdom, astrology, Chinese medicine, and energy medicine. Practice trusting your intuition and discovering the story the cards are telling you.
