The Kappa is a water demon found in Japanese folklore. They are often depicted as having a plate-like crown on top of their heads and scaly-skinned with a turtle-like carapace on their backs.

**DISCLAIMER: The crown on this hat features a very quick decrease, so quickly that staying in the pattern creates almost a flat appearing crown. This is in direct relation to the name of the hat!

Pattern PDF has been updated for addition weight yarns, cowl instructions, and basic instructions for brimless and cupcake style hats! Also includes instructions for a 2-toned version!
