This is a beginner class for those who would like to learn to knit Continental style (or holding the yarn in the left hand). Continental knitting is useful for many reasons: it’s generally more ergonomic and less prone to repetitive stress injuries, it makes stranded knitting easier, and it goes faster than English/American knitting, once you have mastered the technique.
In this class, we’ll focus on the knit stitch first and then the purl stitch, while knitting a simple scarf. Cast-on and bind-off techniques are the same for both styles of knitting and will be covered, if necessary. If you have already taken the class, you are welcome to return for continued instruction and support
Instructor - Celia McCarthy
