Here is how it SHOULD read:
Shape Neck: Next Row (RS): Work in pattern to neck marker, slip 36/40 sts just worked to waste yarn for left side; bind off center 6/8 sts, removing neck markers, knit to end – 36/40 sts. (Please note that the neck markers will need to be moved to the correct position)
