1:30 to 3:30pm - Cascade Yarn Tasting
Shannon Dunbabin, owner of Cascade, will be hosting two events at our San Francisco shop.
COLOR THEORY CLASS (9 to 11am)
Your intro to color theory! Learn the basics of color theory and gain confidence in how to pair 2 or more colors together. It's great for both knitters and crocheters. Bring size US 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles and/or a G or H hook. Cascade 220 Superwash Merino and color wheels will be provided.
CASCADE YARN TASTING (1 to 3pm)
Bring your needles and hooks (a wide range is best!) and "taste" some yarn! It's a great opportunity to work with a yarn you've been wondering about and ask questions directly to the maker. In this yarn tasting, you'll be able to try a variety of Cascade yards, learn about how their fiber content impacts your finished fabric, see the yarns worked up in an interactive trunk show and get information about how the yarns are made (from the way they are spun and dyed to the learning about mills they are created in).
