The nine-patch is one of the earliest forms of patchwork. The block involves joining 9 squares to form a larger square. In its simplest form, the block is constructed of 9 plain squares. Using a variety of colors, the random color changes throughout and you create additional patches within in each square.
800 yards of light worsted yarn for the center and 100 yards for the trim
