Join us in this three-session class to custom fit the Emoji Hat for your pup (or yourself!).

Your dog has its own unique shape and deserves well-fitting, comfortable apparel. Judy will help you re-size the pattern to fit any dog's or human's measurements. 

It all starts with a swatch and a couple of key measurements. Judy will then teach you how to adjust the existing pattern instructions to get a perfect fit.

We will use worsted weight yarn (4.5-5 sts/in) instead of the yarn weight the pattern calls for.

In this three-meeting class you’ll learn German twisted cast on, elastic bind off, mattress stitch seaming, picking up stitches and how to read stitches/rows.

The class will take place inside the shop.

Cast on, knit, purl and bind off.

Dog Emoji Hat Kit in size for you/your dog
16" or 24" circulars in a size US 8 (or size appropriate to obtain gauge)
Locking stitch markers
Completed homework (see below)

Knit a 6” wide x 3” tall stockinette swatch to determine gauge (bring to class)

For both human & dog heads:

Measure face: __ inches (from under chin, up around one side of the face, above the forehead, down the other side of the face, back to meet the start.)

For human heads:

Measure head: __ inches (as if making a hat)

For dog heads:

Measure dog neck: __ inches (thickest part of neck)

Supplies are not included in the cost of the class. Please order your kit at least one day in advance of the class so we can wind the yarn for you. If you choose to purchase supplies the day of the class, please arrive at the shop 30 minutes prior to the class start time to allow enough time.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible and at least 48 hours ahead of the day and we will issue a store credit for the cost of the class. Day before or day of cancellations will result in a forfeiture of the class cost. No shows cannot be credited or refunded.
