Botanic Shawl by Stephen West is a triangular shawl knit sideways starting with a corner increasing to the border. Stripes and slipped stitches decorate the linear lines of the fabric. One solid yarn combined with one self-striping yarn produce an exciting project that easy to knit. A great beginner shawl project!

MC - 780yds / 713m fingering weight yarn
CC -  760yds/ 695m fingering weight yarn


Needles:
US 5 (3.75mm) 40in circular or size needed to obtain gauge

 

Gauge: 
20 st and 38 rows to 4 inches, in garter + 2 rows stockinette st after blocking
Gauge is not crucial as long as long as you achieve a fabric that feels good to you.
