Herriot Hat by Nicole Montgomery is knit using Herriot Great, a wonderfully soft baby alpaca with great stitch definition. This fiber can be a bit tricky to use for a hat since alpaca doesn't haven't much natural memory but when paired with a super-stretchy smocking stitch pattern, the hat has a great fit.
