Olivia by Julie Weisenberger is a great stash-busting transition piece, more than a vest, but not quite a sweater. It’s an easy piece to layer thanks to the completely open sides above the waist ribbing. You can knit it with either the YO or Bobble pattern in the center panel. It begins at the top of the shoulder with a provisional cast-on, and the Back and Front are knitted down separately from there, using short row shaping to slope the shoulders. Front and Back are joined at the waist and the 3x3 ribbing is knitted in the round — so no seaming!
