Moire Cowl by Nina Holubcova takes advantage of Carmen’s half-and-half speckle and solid, achieving a 2-color brioche look with only one skein. Columns of brioche rib in reverse colors flow into each other, creating wavy color pooling effects in the middle. Lines of syncopated stitches add subtle texture every few rows.
Selvedge stitches make seaming easier - every 1st stitch of the row is knit through the back loop, and every last stitch slipped with yarn in front for neat edges. Leaving out the last few repeats while seaming to create a notch helps the narrow cowl sit lower for more coverage.
