Common Ground by Elizabeth Smith is a top-down, seamless cardigan featuring a garter stitch yoke, lace panel waist and an optional hood for a more casual, cozy look. Originally released at the beginning of my design career in 2010, Smith revamped it and re-published it in 2020. It features 9 different sizes and lots of detailed instructions.

SKILL LEVEL:
Advanced beginner

SIZES:

FINISHED BUST MEASUREMENTS (with fronts overlapping):

GAUGE:
15 stitches & 22 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch

Designer Note: if you want to omit the hood, take out approx 50 (50, 60, 60, 60, 60, 65, 65, 65) yds from the totals above.

Errata: In the diamond lace pattern, on row 7, it should read that you repeat from to 7 sts before the marker (not 8).*
