Stockholm Slipover V-Neck Class

In this class you will learn to knit a classic v-neck vest in three, 2-hour sessions. The skills this class covers include:

1. How to read a gauge swatch
2. How to knit German short rows for shoulder and back shaping
3. How to finish 1x1 ribbing with the Italian or tubular bind-off
4. How to pick up stitches
5. How to knit a v-neck collar

The topics named above will be covered in class but you will be required to knit the majority of the vest in between sessions.

HOMEWORK:
Please arrive at the first class with a swatch already knit!
For the swatch: CO 25 sts using the longtail CO. Knit in stockinette until it measures 4.5" from the CO edge. Bind off. (You do not have to cut your yarn if you would like to unravel your swatch and use it in your vest.)

The class will take place in person at our San Francisco shop located at 3897 18th Street.

Prerequisites: This class requires that you have prior experience reading and knitting from patterns. You should be comfortable casting on, binding off normally, knitting and purling, knitting rib, knitting in the round (some experience with double-pointed needles or magic loop is preferred but not required), and have some experience increasing and decreasing..

Circular size US 7 needles and US 4 needles according to the circumference of the vest you are knitting:
XS - 24" cord
S, M, L, XL - 32" cord
2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL - 40"+ cord

ALSO US size 4 DPNs or circular needle with a 32"+ cord for magic loop (or shorties!). 

Supplies are not included in the cost of the class. 

Yarn Recommendations:
If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible and at least 48 hours ahead of the day and we will issue a store credit for the cost of the class. Day before or day of cancellations will result in a forfeiture of the class cost. No shows cannot be credited or refunded.
