Description:
In four 2-hour sessions, you'll learn the basics of knitting a drop shoulder sweater.
The Weekender by Andrea Mowry is a flattering drop shoulder sweater that features a split hem, textured detail at the neckline, and faux seams. It is intended to be worn with approximately 10" of ease for a casual, cozy fit. It is sure to become a wardrobe staple!
The sweater pattern is size inclusive. Special techniques you will learn in this class include bottom up sweater construction, tubular cast on and bind off, three needle bind off, and short rows.
This class is a good fit for solid intermediate knitters. You must be well-versed in basic cast ons (such as the long tail cast on), knitting and purling (and alternating for rib stitch), knitting in the round, basic bind offs, and slip stitches.
To get the most out of class time, you will be expected to complete a significant amount of knitting at home between class sessions (for example, the entire body of the sweater will be knit on your own time).
