Note from Jenny Noto: these writing gloves were inspired by the decorative ladder stitch that, to me, resembles dragonflies or skeeter eaters. It’s a basic and simple pattern, completely symmetrical, that is easy to adjust for both circumference and length. If you’re familiar with making mitts, it can also be adapted for different yarn weights. The fancy bit of stitching is completed at the end!
Worsted weight yarn (4): 90-105 yards total
US 4/ 3.5mm shorties, DPNs, or circular needles for magic loop method
Stitch markers (2/ 4 if you’d like on to mark your thumb gusset as you work)
Removable progress keeper
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Scrap yarn or stitch holder
Gauge: 22 stitches x 32 rounds = 4” x 4” stockinette in the round
