The Mahalle Toe Up Sock by Catherine Salter Bayar is a traditional toe up sock has been knit in Turkish families for generations, taught from the time a child can first manage the 4 to 5 DPNs used. Toe up socks are perfect to fit the foot length as you knit. The leg can be as long as you have yarn, so no running out at the end.
“Mahalle” means “neighborhood” in Turkish.
