Knot Bag by Rick Mondargon is inspired by the knot bags used in Japan. It's crocheted using Yashi, a soft, papery raffia that is fun to work with. 

The bag is worked from the bottom up with clever construction.

The pattern includes instructions for a solid color and a striped bag.
