This gorgeous beret designed by Chinua "Chin" Matthews is knit from the top down starting with a traditional i–cord detail and then worked out from the center to the folded brim.
The cable and lace detail throughout the body of the Juliet beret are super engaging, but not too difficult for the average knitter!

18" (48 cm) brim circumference, unstretched, 35" (89 cm) body circumference at widest point, 11.25" (28.5 cm) diameter, and 9.75" (24.75 cm) height.
GAUGE:
22 stitches and 28 rounds = 4" (10 cm) in Beret Pattern on larger needles, after blocking.
