July 28, 2020

We are so sorry for the audio difficulties on Thursday, Aug 6.  We're working to get these figured out .....

Join us for In the Shop with the Staff Zoom meetings!

(we don't have any recent pictures of us together and these little figures that Judy made are from years ago but you get the idea.....)

Our first meeting is Wednesday, Aug 5 at 3pm with Allison and our fabulous Knitting Fever Rep Gilda!  Allison will give a brief overview of the shop, types of yarns that we carry, our website, etc and we'll open it up to questions.

Our second meeting is Thursday, Aug 6 at 3pm with Gilda and she will show you samples from our knitting fever kits and discuss some of our favorite yarns such as Noro, Cotton Merino, Juniper Moon and many more!  We want this to  be interactive so please ask questions.

Stop on by the shop. We're doing a Noro and Gedifra magazine giveaway to customers in-shop!

Staff KAL - Weekender Light

July 14, 2020

We all agree that miles of stockinette in the round made for a relaxing knit. We're thinking of making second ones.  Here's a few changes we made or may make for a second project

- Diane used a larger needle size than recommended and did not use the larger needle for the sleeves

- We found that the neckline was a little tight. For a second one - we may use the same needle size for the neckline as the body to loosen it up.

We're making the perfect year-round sweater for our temperate SF weather - Weekender Light by Andrea Mowry!

Update July 21, 2020

We're all making good progress on this super relaxing knit!

Sonja is using Cumbria Fingering in Dertwenwater - a great color!

Laura is using Malabrigo Sock in Playa - so lovely!

Diane is using her new favorite yarn - Cascade 220 Fingering in color 9619 Ember Heather. She really likes the thickness - right between lace and fingering. You can't beat the price too!

We enjoy making the same project together!  It's fun to see how different yarns work with the pattern and learn hints from each other.  We'd love it if you would join us!

Interested in making one? You can snag the pattern here and check out fingering weight yarn here.
