Free Pattern Friday: Pumpkin and Skull Baskets

October 14, 2016

Whip up these cute Pumpkin and Skull Baskets for your Halloween goodies!

These super adorable baskets are made using Uptown Worsted.  The finished size is larger than it appears in the picture (18" circumference, 3 1/2" high) so they can hold quite a bit of goodies. Four skeins total can make both baskets (one black, one orange, one green and one red/salmon).

You can get the pattern here and the yarn here

Countdown to Christmas: Nifty Swift

December 18, 2014

Getting a knitter their very own ball winder and swift?  Well, that's tough to beat!

The Nifty Swift is great because instead of clamping on a table, it can rest easily on any surface.  When not in use, it folds closed and takes up minimal space.  We just restocked our Nifty Swifts and they are waiting for a new home!  Come by the shop or check them out online here.  To grab a ball winder to go with, click here.

Countdown to Christmas: Yarn Bowls

December 16, 2014

Giving a gift to the knitter who has everything?

Check out these fabulous yarn baskets handmade by local artist Terri Raphael!  Knitters use them to hold their ball of yarn while they knit.  It's much better than letting that pesky ball roll under the couch. They also make a beautiful accent piece.

These bowls are one-of-a-kind and won't last long.  We also have a few other styles (yarn boxes and bowls) that would make great gifts.  Drop by or call us to see what we have in stock!
