Free Pattern: Wrapped in Lux

The accessory of the season is this lightweight and understated stole designed by owner Allison Isaacs.

Working simple stockinette stitch on a larger needle is all you need to do to let this gorgeous merino wool blend yarn shine. With the slightly shimmery colorways available in Lace Lux, you'll truly feel like you're wrapped in lux!

GLOSSARY:

sk: skein(s)
CO: cast on
st(s): stitch(es)
K: knit
P: purl
Rep: repeat
BO: bind off

 

MATERIALS:

Lace Lux: 2 sk in main color (MC) and 1 sk of contrast color (CC). We used #46 for our CC and #12 for our MC, but have seen many other fabulous color combos since! 
Size 10 (6 mm) needles (24 inch circular needle is recommended to best accommodate width)
Darning needle

 

GAUGE:

16 stitches = 4 inch in Stockinette stitch. Row gauge is not crucial.

 

FINISHED DIMENSIONS:

Approximately 30" wide and 75" long, unblocked.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

With CC, CO 96 sts.

Row 1: K

Row 2: P

Rep last two rows 6 more times, for a total of 12 rows in Stockinette stitch. Switch to MC. 

Rep Rows 1 and 2 until desired length. Change to CC and work 12 more rows in Stockinette stitch. 

BO loosely, weave in all ends and wear proudly!
