      • Kids Only Knitting! $40

        A knitting class just for kids! This class welcomes children of all experience levels. Whether your kiddo wants to learn the basics of knitting (including cast on, knit, purl and bind-off) or needs help learning a new skill or starting a new technique, this class will be perfect! Suitable for ages 8 to 12 yrs.

      • Design to Fit Workshop $120

        You completed a sweater. Now increase your satisfaction by designing one that fits you better! Create your own pattern with elements that flatter your body type, take measurements to ensure a good fit, chose yarn that compliments your sweater's structure, and understand how it all works together. Includes plan-ahead finishing techniques.

        • For the first class, bring an example of a ready-made and/or hand knit sweater that looks good on you and on e that could fit you better. Look through catalogues, magazines and knitting books for sweaters that inspire you. Bring at least three different pictures to class. Bring a flexible measuring tape (not ruler) and 8.5"x11" paper on which you will draw a sweater outline and your measurements. DO NOT purchase the yarn for your sweater.

        Prerequisite skills: Intermediate level knitter, must have made at least one sweater

      • Introduction to Drop Spindle Spinning $65

        Make your own yarn! Learn to spin roving with a drop spindle, ply, and prepare yarn for knitting or crochet. We will examine yarn structure, fiber characteristics, spinning a continuous single, and making a 2-ply yarn.

        Create beautiful and professional looking garments! Learn how to sew finished vertical, horizontal, and curved edges together on a variety of stitch patterns using the Mattress Stitch technique.

        Cold feet? Not after this class! Socks are fun and easy, especially when knit on two circular needles. You'll learn the basic principles of cuff-down sock construction, from turning the heel to grafting the toe.

        You've taken Judy's Knit or Crochet 101 classes and now you need help understanding your first pattern or would like to learn more knit or crochet techniques. This 3-session class is perfect! There's two weeks between each class to allow time to complete homework. Ask about first knit or crochet pattern ideas or bring a pattern you want to work on.

      • My First Sweater $120

        You've made scarves, shawls, hats, mitts, baby blankets... Now it's time to graduate to a sweater! This course is designed to help you succeed in making a simple, crew neck pullover. In the first session, yarn selection and gauge will be discussed. Come prepared to make your selection, purchase your yarn and get your homework assignment. The remaining three sessions are spread out to give you time to make progress on your sweater.

      • Fair Isle $40

        This class will help you take your first steps into the world of colorwork. Learn the fundamental techniques and essential tips to successfully master this advanced skill.

        • Fair Isle is traditionally done in the round but can be done flat. If you want to work in the round, bring needles needed to work 60 sts in the round. If you want to work flat, bring either straight or circular needles appropriately sized for the yarn weight

      • Wrap and Turn Basic Short Rows $68

        Short rows are those partial rows that let us create heels on socks, shoulder shaping without the unattractive stepped bind-offs, add darts or gussets so garments can fit. In this class you'll learn the basics of working short rows by using the classic wrap and turn method. You'll get tips on finessing turning points and learn the difference between increasing and decreasing short rows.

      • Rigid Heddle Weaving $80

        This class utilizes a rigid heddle loom (versus a larger table loom). In only two sessions, you’ll have a beautiful hand woven scarf. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to experiment with colors and textures to create anything your heart desires! Bring your own rigid heddle loom or rent one for only $10.

Classes must be paid in full at the time of registration in order to hold your spot.  All supplies must be purchased before the class.  Upon signing up for a class, any changes in attendance must be made three days prior to the start of the class. If you need to cancel a class, we will issue you a store credit for the amount paid.  Unfortunately, cancellations made with fewer than three days' notice result in a forfeiture of the registration fee. There are no make up sessions if one of the class sessions is missed.  Classes have minimum enrollments; if these are not met, we reserve the right to cancel classes with 24 hours notice. Refunds for classes we cancel will be given in the method paid.
