Check out what the SF Men Knit group has made!
Once fully completed, the Pride Blanket will be displayed in our front window so you can come by and check it out!
Here is some information about the blanket (from Kyle Kunnecke):
The idea of a the blanket has been around for a number of years, but this year the group decided that it was the right time. With the passing of the designer of the original Pride flag, Gilbert Baker, we set about creating a flag that celebrated our love of the fiber arts.
Approximately 28 contributors knit, crocheted and wove 7" x 7" square in the iconic rainbow colors, and we gathered together on a very warm Sunday to assemble the pieces.
Each square tells it own story, and together they connect to create a beautiful statement of community, support, friendship, and love.
Will Clayton shared some pictures of the assembly:
A true team effort! We can't wait to see the finished blanket!
