Free Pattern Friday: Hexagon Motif Bathmat

This adorable and colorful bathmat is the perfect weekend project. If you've never worked in the round with crochet before, this would be a fun way to try!

Following the chart, you'll create as many hexagons as you'd like in as many different color combos as you'd like.

Two or three colors is ideal in our opinion, and it would also be fun to play with shades of color (for example, going for three shades of blue and a neutral). Depending on your bathroom's color scheme, you can really get creative with color on this one!

For this project, you'll need about 200 yards of the main color and 100 yards of the main color, split accordingly depending on how you'll be introducing different colors. We recommend an aran to chunky weight washable cotton. Our favorite is the squishy Bulky Cotton (available in some great color options!). If you want something for the kids' bathroom, take a peek at the fun brights available in Babe Softcotton Chunky.ย

Love the pattern, but don't know how to crochet? Join our Crochet 101 class starting November 3 and you'll be hooking in no time!
