Free Pattern Friday: Bias Stripe Shawl

When your weekend calls for knitting that is relaxing but won't completely bore you to tears, we always recommend something on the bias. It throws your knitting just a touch off kilter in a way that makes it almost a bit addictive.

This pattern can be honestly made with any needle with any yarn combination. We were initially drawn to the sample scarf because it called for one of our new sale yarns, Estrella. People always ask us how cotton tape yarns knit up, so here's a perfect example!

On size 15 needles, you can really make this shawl in a weekend. Mix up Estrella with Snake (another sale yarn!) to experiment with tape yarns or try something else entirely. You'll need 6 balls to make something similar to the sample above. We often use the bias technique on chunky Noro yarns (like sale yarn Kama!) to show off the striping effect in a new way. It's hard to go wrong!

Find a copy of the pattern here and browse our sale selection to see what you can knit on the bias this weekend. Happy Friday!
