Free Pattern Friday: Easter Bunny Approved Knits
Earlier in the week, we posted this teaser on our Instagram page:
This was Katelyn hard at work making her new niece the perfect Easter Sunday accessories. Her inspiration was this free pattern from Repeat Crafter Me. The matching diaper soaker is just adorable!
For hers, Katelyn used Aurora 8 in a pale gray and peachy pink. She needed two balls of gray and only one ball of pink for the 0-3 month size. If you work up a bigger size, you'll need to adjust yardage accordingly. The pattern is sized all the way up to adult!
Don't crochet? We've got you covered. Here are three Easter Bunny approved hats that don't require a crochet hook.
The Boutique Bunny Hat (left) works up quick with a super bulky yarn like Blue Sky Bulky or Encore Mega. It's worked flat and then seamed, making it a perfect choice if you've never worked in the round.
The Funny Bunny Hat (middle) is normally a $5 pattern, but can be downloaded completely free between now and Monday! Find the yardage requirements here and choose between either worsted or DK weight. We love Plymouth's DK Merino Superwash or Debbie Bliss's Cashmerino Aran for something extra special and soft.
The Bunny Beanie (pictured right) fits babies 3-6 months old. It calls for an extra fluffy yarn (think angora or alpaca), but imagine how fabulous it would be out of Woolfolk's ultimate merino yarn, Far! For the fuzzy angora ears, take a look at Plymouth Angora or Rowan's Angora Haze.
