Free Pattern Friday: Terraform
We've been totally obsessed with Feederbrook Entropy DK since it hit the shelves a while back. Terraform by Cheryl McEwen is the perfect pattern to showcase the beauty and unique qualities of this yarn.
Entropy DK is a two-ply BFL yarn. Each separate ply is a gradient. The yarn is named for the randomness of the colors when the two single plies are plied together. For more information about Entropy DK, check out our yarn review.
Terraform is an asymmetrical shawl made from the tip out. It's a super fun knit! The self-striping of the yarn keeps your interest as you can't wait to see the next color. The best part is dropping the purl stitches at the end - so satisfying! The marled effect of the yarn in the dropped stitches stands out and is so pretty.
You can make Terraform as large or small as you desire. Three skeins of Entropy DK were used in the shawls shown in the pictures. The generous size makes this shawl extremely versatile. You can wear it as a scarf around your neck, wrap it around your shoulders as a shawl, and even cover your head and shoulders as the chill sets in.
