Join us on Sunday, August 28, from 4pm to 8pm for a Beginning Tapestry Weaving Workshop with Lisa Spayde!

Lisa Spayde is a Northern California based fiber artist. Having grown up along the sandy shores of San Diego, she is inspired by her native landscapes of rich golden hills and the ever changing California coast.

Lisa uses traditional tapestry techniques, along with foraged and repurposed materials, to create texture in her weavings.

 This beginning weaving workshop will get you started on your weaving adventure.
intro to tapestry weaving
In this intimate class you will learn how to warp your loom, a few basic stitches of woven tapestry including plain weave and fringe, how to incorporate alternative materials such as denim or found materials to create texture in your tapestry, and finishing technique.

Class fee includes all the materials to get your started. This includes a handmade loom, weaving tools and yarn.  If you would like to supplement the yarn provided, feel free to bring yarn of your choice.
