Free Pattern Friday: Cleo Diagonal Striped Scarf

May 06, 2016

Spring is here and it's shawl weather!  We're big fans of asymmetrical, garter stitch shawls because they are easy to knit and easy to wear. The Cleo Diagonal Striped Scarf fits the bill perfectly!

It's made on the diagonal in garter stitch with increases on one side and decreases on the other.  The Cleo Diagonal Striped Scarf is a great first shawl project for beginners and it's also a fun choice for seasoned knitters that want some relaxing knitting.

The pattern calls for one skein of each of five colors of Cleo.

Cleo is a soft 100% mercerized Pima cotton with a chain ply so it's light and drapey. And it's machine washable.  There is a wide color selection so you can make it yours. You can go fun and colorful (as in the photos) or you can put together a more modern look.

Oh - the possibilities!  The Cleo Diagonal Striped Scarf is sure to become a favorite go-to accessory.

Grab the pattern here and stop by the shop this weekend and put together your own color combinations.  Or follow the links above.  Enjoy!
