Class Offerings from Beth Whiteside

Designer Beth Whiteside will be teaching a couple classes at our shop this Spring and we can’t wait to tell you all about them!

Beth is a published designer with patterns in Creative Knitting and Knitter’s Magazine.  She has taught at knitting conventions all over the country, so it’s always fun to have her stop by our neck of the woods.

Coming up at the end April is our Playful Pleats, Wondrous Welts class.  Pleat and welt (tuck) techniques fold fabric back on itself, creating flaps and corded ridges. They can be used to add or eliminate volume, shape peplums or necklines and give texture to a stitch pattern or room to walk in a skirt. You’ll learn knife, boxed and inverted pleat combinations.

In May, we have a class to awaken your inner designer: Cowl-o-Rama!  Take stitch patterns you admire and turn them into cowls your adore.
