Free Pattern Friday: Crocheting with Chunky Mochi

Want an instant gratification project this weekend?  If you know your way around a crochet hook, you could whip up a cozy, self-striping cowl in no time!

chunkymochicollage Today we are featuring two free patterns that use one of our favorite yarns, Chunky Mochi.  Using a P sized hook, you can select either the short or long version.  The short version (shown on the top left) uses two balls of yarn.  The free pattern can be found here.  The longer version (shown on the bottom right) can be wrapped once around the neck and uses six balls.  The free pattern for the long version can be found here.

Chunky Mochi is so soft and squishy you’ll never want to put it down!  It’s so much fun to watch the colors shift as you work.  Pick a shade you can’t resist and get hooking!

Free Pattern Friday: Capron Throw

As the weather starts to heat up, it’s important to find yarns to transition into summer with.  We know this isn’t our first Remix free pattern post (hello, Larry!) but we couldn’t help but share the Capron.

Capron is a soft and textured spring throw that is easy to knit and perfect for picnics and beach days.  Using only 7 balls of Berroco Remix, it will be a perfect choice for a stress-free summer project.  If you have yet to try Remix, now is your chance.  Enjoy the tweedy texture of a cotton, acrylic, silk and linen blend that is comprised of 100% recycled materials.  It’s suitable all year long!

Download the pattern free here and view the color options available on our web store.

Free Pattern Friday: Tippi Tunic

Summer is fast approaching! We are crazy about this elegant and feminine tunic top by Louisa Harding.

fleuris-tippi-collage.jpgThis top calls for two coordinating colors of Fleuris, an aran weight bamboo blend. This pattern is available for free here and knits up quick on a size 10 needle. On top of that, the yarn is on sale for $5.25 a ball. Can it get any better than that?

Fleuris is drapey with a beautiful silky sheen.  It has just a touch of wool to provide structure and give.  It’ll breathe during the warmer months but provide a nice weight when you need it.  We love this yarn and couldn’t help but feature it during last week’s #SaleSunday postGrab your yarn while supplies last!
