Baby season is upon us! Our customers are hard at work making baby gifts for lucky moms and dads across the Bay. If you are finding yourself with lots of pregnant friends and family this year, check out some of the new additions to our sale section.
Have some fun with color! Opt for a variegated or self-striping yarn to whip up some cute baby hats and booties that will be a hit at showers. As an added bonus, most of our suggestions are machine washable. Don’t forget, you can always browse our full sale section here.
Cadenza (from Colinette) is a soft DK weight merino wool that is produced in Wales. It is hand dyed in some spectacular colors, but they are going fast! Only a few options remain. Grab a skein of this squishy and machine washable yarn to make a quick baby cap.
Jojoland’s Rhythm (on sale for only $4.99!) is a machine washable wool. It stripes very subtly and is offered in a subdued palette. It would be darling for a little cardigan or pullover! At a worsted weight gauge, finding a pattern to match will be a breeze.
Debbie Bliss’s Rialto DK Prints is available in some adorable self-patterning colorways. It would be ideal for some fun and colorful kids’ socks. It is made from 100% easy care merino wool.
For a real dose of color therapy, try Mirasol’s Hachito yarn. There are some bright color options in stock that will suit any personality. This yarn is a blend of soft merino wool and nylon for durability. It is the lightest weight out of all our options, knitting up at around 7 stitches per inch.
Noro is one of our best selling brands, so it’s always exciting to snag some at a discount.
Noro comes out with new yarns and colors every season. Sometimes the only way to make room is to send some of our favorites to the sale section. Thankfully we don’t hear Noro fans complaining! On this week’s #SaleSunday we are highlighting a few yarns that you just have to try before they are gone for good.
Mossa is a bulky weight boucle yarn that blends wool, mohair, silk and nylon. Finished products made with this yarn have a unique texture and almost no stitch definition, making it the perfect choice for garter or stockinette stitch garments.
Furin is a worsted weight yarn (made primarily of cotton and silk) that is perfect for a summer shawl or top. There is a gentle gleam in every skein. It stripes subtly with a loosely spun texture.
Haniwa is DK/worsted weight silk yarn in an array of earthy colorways. We think it would be a fantastic choice for a pair of fingerless mitts or a new hat.
There’s more where that came from! View our full selection of Noro yarns (including sale items) and be sure to check out the rest of our sale section.
Since we are having so much fun with our weekly #FreePatternFriday posts, we decided to launch #SaleSunday! Stay in touch with us on Facebook to see what yarns/books are being marked down.
Spring cleaning is in full swing around here. To celebrate the gorgeous weather we’ve had lately, we found 4 fantastic plant fiber blends and marked them down. Hopefully they will work for something in your queue!
Debbie Bliss Eco is an organic, fair trade cotton in a versatile worsted weight. You’ll also find Nepal (another organic/fair trade option) in our sale section.
Louisa Harding Fleuris is a staff favorite for chunky, slouchy beanies. Our manager crochets them up in record time! It is one of the few bamboo blends in this aran/chunky thickness. You’ve got to try it before it’s gone!
Linolo is a linen blend with a slight tweediness. It has the beautiful drape and texture of linen but is easy on the hands. It is available in 4 gorgeous colorways.
Last but not least is Aimee. Available in sportweight, Aimee is an ultrasoft cotton yarn with a kiss of cashmere. It is 158 yards per ball on sale for only $6.50. Need we say more?
