We added two favorites to our sale section this month. Whether you knit them together or separately, they are not to be missed!
The glamorous scarf above uses a combination of the soft and lofty Hechizo with stripes of Grace. Hechizo blends wool, alpaca and metallic for a subtle pop of glitter.
Grace is a ruffling trim yarn that is adorned with a row on beaded embellishment along the edge. This adds both a pop of metallic with the perfect amount of weight. Striped throughout the scarf above, it adds amazing depth and texture.
Grab a free copy of the pattern here. It calls for two balls of Hechizo and only one ball of Grace. Both are on sale while supplies last!

In honor of our upcoming Shibui Mix party, Anja completed Shibui Mix Pattern #8 using the luscious Cima.
The ombre effect is achieved by holding three strands of laceweight yarn together and gradually shifting colors. Considering you only use two colors, the end result is quite remarkable! Anja chose a neutral palette, but the design looks great in a variety of combinations.
The resulting fabric is plush, warm and beautifully draped. Wear it casually over slacks or tucked into a skirt for a more polished look. This top will make it into your regular rotation for sure!

Winter is on the way! Are you ready? Keep your noggin warm and cozy with this 100% llama slouch hat.
Whether you’re a fairisle pro or are looking for a foray into color knitting, this ombre hat is the perfect pick.
It calls for two balls (one of each color) of the new Mirasol yarn Llama Una. This DK weight yarn is made from 100% soft baby llama. Similar to alpaca, it is fluffy, warm and totally addictive. Llama has a natural drape, making it a great choice for slouchy hats. Take a peek at our color selection and grab the free pattern here!
Fine Donegal (a new tweed from Debbie Bliss) has just hit our shelves! It looks just beautiful nesting in our new Binkwaffle bags, doesn’t it?
Diane snatched up a few balls as soon as we got it in to make a Knitbot Featherweight cardigan. She recently swatched it up for us and is here to share her thoughts.
A new yarn from Debbie Bliss – just in time for fall! Debbie Bliss Fine Donegal is a thick and thin sport weight yarn made of 95% merino wool and 5% cashmere – what a great blend! When we opened the box, we all gushed at the gorgeous rich colors. There are sixteen colors in all. The thick and thin yarn provides a rustic texture while the addition of cashmere keeps it soft. Since it’s a sport weight yarn, garments and accessories made with Fine Donegal are light and can be worn throughout multiple seasons in our variable San Francisco climate. The Debbie Bliss Fine Donegal book contains thirteen romantic patterns using this yarn. Cast on the lacey shawl (the cover pattern) in the Terracotta colorway for a striking fall must-have accessory. I can’t wait to start my new sweater!
