Generic drug store Halloween costume? No way! Grab those needles and knit you or your kiddo something fabulous to wear this year.
Spud & Chloe have some amazing free patterns available to spruce up your kiddo’s costume this year. Whip up this pirate hat for your little swashbuckler in just a few hours! It takes two skeins (one each color) of a worsted weight wool like Spud & Chloe Sweater.
For the tiniest trick-or-treaters, what could be easier than one of these darling apple hats? It also calls for the soft, washable wool and cotton blend called Sweater. You just need one skein; the stem and leaves can be crafted from scrap yarn.
Are you knitting any portion of your Halloween costume this year? We’d love to share it! Send a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Barb and Tracie are a mom and daughter team that run the popular podcast called 2 Knit Lit Chicks. They stopped in other week with a couple of their friends!
Barb (the mom) and Tracie (the daughter) are obsessed knitters and avid readers. They love to talk about our current knitting projects and favorite books. Mark your calendars! Miguel and Lisa Paz from Misti Alpaca will be coming to visit on October 24th!
There are a few columns on in the center wall of the store that people ooh and aah over all day, every day. It’s the columns that contain a store favorite yarn – Misti Alpaca Chunky.
It’s a rare opportunity to be able to meet the family that produces alpaca yarn and hear first hand about the history and making of this wonderful yarn but you have this chance on October 24th from 5 – 7 P.M.
Misti International is a family owned business in Peru and Miguel is the fourth generation to carry on the tradition of designing the highest quality alpaca and alpaca blend yarns. The Paz family is involved in all stages of the alpaca industry from raising the alpacas to processing, dyeing and marketing the alpaca yarn. The family history spans eighty years and is a fascinating story. Miguel will give a brief presentation of Alpacas, their dye studio and an overview of the process from raising the animals to the final yarn. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet the family that brings us one of our favorite yarns!
For an added bonus, we will be hosting a Misti Alpaca trunk show later this month! Stay tuned for more info.
