Interpretations Spotlight: At Dawn

We saved one of the customer favorites for last. Everyone who dropped by to check out the trunk show was instantly drawn to this asymmetrical shawl.

Using simple short rows and blissfully easy to knit garter stitch, this shawl plays on color in a subtle but elegant way.

Finished Measurements:
80” from side to side and 26” from top to bottom at deepest point.

Materials :
Yarn: 440 yards fingering weight yarn in main color and 440 yards of contrasting color
Needles: US 2½ (3mm) circular or straight needles

Gauge :
20 stitches and 30 rows to 4 inches in garter stitch, after blocking (really stretching the fabric). Note: Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirement.

3 skeins of Tosh Vintage (2 skeins main color and 1 skein contrast color) or 600 yards of any comparable worsted weight wool and US #7 (4.5 mm) needles

16 sts and 32 rows = 4” pattern stitch

Interpretations Spotlight: Sweet Cables

After blocking: 87” wide and 23” deep

Materials :
Yarn: 1550 yards of fingering weight yarn (315 yards of 3 colors and 630 yards of main color, which is the darkest pink in the sample). We recommend Tosh Merino Light, Pebble or Prime Alpaca/Heather Prime Alpaca.
Needles: US #4 (3.5 mm)

Gauge :
22 sts and 32 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch.
