Challenge your conceptions of color and texture with our two color brioche knitting class, an exclusive one night event held at Samovar Tea Lounge (across the street from ImagiKnit). Learn new cast-ons, bind-offs, and the brioche method of knitting and purling with Marc Smollin (photographed above) while sipping tea and nibbling sweet treats. The class runs Thursday, November 14th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Give us a call or drop by the shop to sign up for this special seminar.
Is anyone else out there getting in the Halloween spirit? We will be open from 11am – 4pm this Thursday. Enjoy the holiday! We will be eating and knitting candy corns.
You can imagine how happy we were to have not one but TWO beautiful lace shawls in the shop at once. Suzie (left) made “#32 Lace Shawl”, a beaded shawl using two skeins of Findley in Rusty Copper (color 28). The pattern is available in the Holiday 2007 edition of Vogue Knitting and Vogue Knitting: Shawls and Wraps.
Rachael made “Tiong Bahru”, a sweet little shawlette, using one skein of Tosh Lace in Dahlia. The pattern is available for purchase in the shop or over the phone.
All this lace in the air has us very excited for our upcoming class: Lace Experiments!
Thom was one of the first to snag Whiskey Barrel, a new color to the Madeline Tosh 2013 line. Since we learned of his sweater we checked in with him constantly on its progress. You can imagine how elated we were to have him come in and show it off for us. The pattern for Dave comes from the much loved Queenland Collection Men’s (Book 9).
Thom used 6 skeins of Pashmina Worsted in Whiskey Barrel (Tosh Vintage would work as well).
