When Anja strolled in wearing her Milly Vest, we knew we had to snap some photos. Worked up in Rowan Felted Tweed, this vest combines classic tweed and cables with an extra little pop of lace. She tells us it worked up very quickly, and using just three balls of Felted Tweed (less than the pattern calls for), we believe her. Feel free to take a look at some other DK weight yarn that would work for this project. The Milly vest is a free pattern from Knitty.
The working in both directions technique allows you to work something flat but with the right-side always facing you. Does that sound excited or what? Sign up for our class on March 11th. We’re very happy to have Beth Whiteside back teaching at ImagiKnit, one of the local stores where she got her start as a knitting instructor in 2003.
