Yarn Candy

Dos

Oh do we ever have a treat for you! Fresh out of the Malabrigo boxes – two new yarns! These are test products and are one-of-a-kind, but that doesn’t stop us adoring them. First, there is Dos, a gorgeous two-ply baby merino. What can I say? Plied Malabrigo! Plied yarns have more strength than their single cousins and are also less prone to pilling. Not to mention the greater stitch definition, so perfect for cables. This sport weight yarn comes in 150 yard skeins.

Merinocash

Merinocash, is another lace weight offering, but made up of an 80% merino and 20% cashmere combination. Malabrigo with cashmere, better than a bag full of candy! Each skein has 860 yards and we have six colors available, some semi-solid and other variegated, like Charrua. Please bear in mind that these yarns are test products and might well be the only ones we’ll have. In addition there are some new colors and they are also one of a kind. So hurry down to the store and buy enough for your projects, because once it’s gone, it is gone.

Have a Happy Halloween!

Yarn so soft :: Merisoft

Merisoft Hand Painted

Combine merino and soft and you get Merisoft Hand Painted from Punta Yarn. The lastest yarn from Uruguay is 197 beautiful yards of colors, from earthy blends to parrot brights. Merisoft made me feel a little bit of yarn nostalgia for the discontinued Classic Elite Waterspun and while there is no felting involved in its production, there is something in the snug single ply merino that reminds me of that yarn of yore. One thing it does without a doubt, is make a wonderful addition to our Aran weight yarn section!
