We Love What U Knit

Nelly's baby boy

There hasn’t been a customer brag post in a while, so to start us off this is Alexander, modeling a hat knit for him by his mom. Nelly used a basic kid’s hat pattern, kicked up a notch with a sprightly shade of Kelly green Big Cash from Zaol. I think I see a knitwear model in the making!

Kristen

Next is Kristen and her pair of magnificent His and Hers Aran sweaters. Her oatmeal sweater was knit in the very appropriate Scottish Tweed Aran from Rowan, using a pattern from “Knitting in the Old Style” and the chocolate brown Cascade Eco Wool sweater was her own design. If that wasn’t enough, these are merely her second and third sweaters. Amazing!

.Jessica

Jessica is wearing her lovely Tangled Yoke Cardigan, knit using Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool. This is such a classically beautiful design, with just a hint of cabling. The yarn choice is perfect, wool-silk blends are so versatile. The pattern is available in the Fall 2007 issue of Interweave Knits.

Susan

Susan knit this future family heirloom while watching episodes of 24. The pattern is the Irish Diamond Shawl from the book “Folk Shawls” using Jaggerspun Zephyr. It is absolutely exquisite, sure to be handed down the generations.

Dan

Here is Dan showing off his very first sweater! There is nothing like a happy knitter crossing that bridge to the Land of Garments. The pattern is the tongue-in-cheek, Cable Guy from “Son of a Stitch n’ Bitch”.

Lynne

Now Lynne has to keep an eye on this blanket, because it has been a personal ambition of mine to knit one just like it! She used Misti Alpaca Chunky and it must be the softest and coziest blanket around. The pattern is the Cozy Lap Robe from “Holiday Knits” designed by Allison herself.

Mary

And we close with Mary, modeling her stunning scarlet kimono. She used Bambou Soft from Austermann and a pattern from the book “Knit Kimono”. It is a beautiful marriage between yarn and garment, with the beautiful drape that bamboo fabric creates.
