SOX on the brain

SOX on the brain

There is much to-do in the knitting world as XRX, the folks that bring your Stitches West as well as the publishers of Knitter’s Magazine and many a beautiful knitting book, are holding a sock competition. The Think Outside the SOX Competition promises to be quite the grand affair, with offers of prize money and pattern publications! We all have to wait for the unveiling of the details – rules and categories – on February 21st at Stitches.

What we’re making

A contemplative Kurt

Entrelac detail

Kurt is almost finished with his stunning Paparazzi Shield entrelac wrap using Noro Transitions. This form of multi-directional knitting is the perfect marriage for the yarn, with its gradual tonal and fiber shifts. I love the surprise patches of angora. If you want to dabble in entrelac, take a class with Kurt February 19th. Information here.

Lazy Chick Mitts
