A good yarn just got better

Fist full of Manos wool silk blend

With its beautiful kettle-dyed colors, Manos del Uruguay has long been a staple in my knitting basket. Now the company has come out with a luscious blend of 30% silk and 70% merino wool. This combination makes for the perfect fiber marriage: the wool adds the elasticity that silk lacks, making knitting a dream. While the silk takes the dye beautifully, adding its trademark sheen. Knitting up to a gauge of 5.5 to 6 stitches an inch, this D.K. weight yarn is like the delicate little sister to the Manos wool. Come into to the store to see all the colors we carry and pick up some skeins for yourself!
