Autumn leaves and silk

Autumn Leaves

Here it is November, with Thanksgiving just around the corner, making an early appearance this year, and it hardly feels like Fall. To get into the season, I have the Forest Canopy Shawl on my needles .

The yarn is Enchanté, a cultivated silk from Kaalund Yarns, in Silky Oak. This Australian company has a stunning array of colors, that knits up in beautiful, subtle tones. Here is a close up of the color Forest Floor.

And even if the leaves aren’t falling yet, we have helped the season along with some of the knitted variety. Here are a few that have graced our window, knit by the lovely Miss Charlotte, in patterns from Nicky Epstein’s Knitted Embellishmets.
